So many animals come into the ARL as strays with no names. Here's your chance to give a great new name to a great pet! For a donation of $5 or more, you get the privilege of naming a shelter pet! Look for signs on the kennels. When you name the pet, your name will be placed on the web site with the pet's photo below.

We love our seniors (humans and others!) and think that age doesn't matter. Just another "seniors for seniors" program offered to the public by the ARL!

I displayed no interest in the cats in the adoption room. I have met many dogs since being here and they all make me a little anxious.

Hi, my name is Candy and my story is very sad. I was found in a pasture with dead and other starving horses. I am a 17-year-old dark bay thoroughbred mare.  I have had beginner riders on me but I have not been ridden for a year due to my owner's life being too busy. That's why I was surrendered to the ARL. I'm great with being trailered, I stand nicely for the vet and farrier. I will be staying at my present home until adoption.
