ARL Foster Program
Do you love older dogs or ones with special needs? So do we! We need YOU! The
ARL is looking to establish a list of a few good homes who would be willing to
provide temporary care for older or special needs dogs while we look for their
forever homes. How does it work?
• The ARL pays for vet care, you only need to provide food and toys (and love of
course!)
• The ARL will do a home visit and check vet references to ensure that the dog
is going into a good environment.
• If you have one or more dogs, they must come to the shelter
to meet the foster dog to ensure that they will get along. And your dogs must be
up-to-date on vaccines and have current licenses.
• Foster homes must have their own transportation, commit to providing the dog
with proper vet care and adequate exercise, and can bring the dog to the shelter
when necessary to meet potential adopters.
For anyone interested in this worthwhile and rewarding opportunity, please stop
by and fill out a foster home application.
Thank you for caring about those who can't help themselves!
Please go to the Adoptable Pets
page to see which pets are currently in the foster program.
