Ongoing - Cat Kuranda Bed Drive

The ARL is having a donation drive to purchase Kuranda beds for all of our cat cages. Studies have shown that cats like to have a high place to sleep and it decreases stress in shelters. Cats who are less stressed are less likely to get sick.

We need about 40 beds. The cost is $59 for a set of two beds.  What a nice Valentine's Day gift for the cats at the ARL!  Please click on this link which takes you to the Kuranda web site:

January 19 - February 19 - Artwork Fundraiser

An artist who is an animal lover and supporter of the ARL has created a beautiful print specifically to benefit the ARL. The cost is $25 and the ARL gets $15 of that. All orders are shipped directly to you. Please click on this link to see the print and place your orders:

January 30 - March 26 - Pasta Fundraiser!

Help the animals at the ARL by either buying or selling pasta - or both! Pasta shapes and themes include: animals, hobbies, sports, collegiate teams and many more. There's even a gluten-free pasta! Purchase on-line:

February is National Rabbit Adoption Month! All 1,145 Petco stores are partnering with rabbit rescue organizations to have a national adoption weekend. They will be educating the public about adopting versus buying rabbits. The ARL will have adoptable bunnies there each day!

Saturday, February 25 - Annual Spaghetti Dinner

West Lawn United Methodist Church

15 Woodside Ave, West Lawn

4:00 - 7:00pm

$9 all you can eat! Menu includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drinks.

Sunday, February 26 - Spay Day

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!

The ARL and Fairchild Foundation is holding a spay day at the ARL's surgery center for owned, stray and feral cats.

$35 for spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccines.

Wednesday, March 7, 14, 21, 28 - B.A.R.C. - Begin Animal Rescue Correctly

Dog Training Classes at the ARL

6:00pm 

The ARL and Awesome Dawgs Dog Training, LLC are offering the B.A.R.C. program, a 4-week basic training class that includes an information packed seminar the first week. Conversations will include an introduction to modern dog training, appropriate dog handling skills and what dog language looks like. B.A.R.C. is about getting to know the dog that now lives with you. Do not bring your dog to the seminar the first week. The seminar is followed by 3 weeks of hands on training with your new dog. The cost of the B.A.R.C. training program is only $65 and is available to anyone who has recently adopted a dog here at the ARL. This offer is not open to the general public. This class is only $65 and will include (4) one hour sessions held on Wednesday evenings in the Animal Rescue League Education Room.
