In Gratitude…
The ARL would like to thank the following who recently supported the ARL through fundraisers…
Thank you to all of the students at the Reading School of Health Sciences for donating an assortment of toys, food, and toiletries to the ARL! A very special thanks to Girl Scout Abby for creating hand-made cat toys, scratchers and dens as part of her merit badge! Thank you to the team at Newcastle Lawn & Landscape for choosing ARL to be one of the recipients of donations collected in their local food drive truck parade! Wow! We have so many compassionate friends at Oley Valley Elementary School! Thank you to all of the students and families who donated a variety of goodies for our animals! Our friends at Freedom Toyota were kind enough to make two generous contributions to the ARL this year! Thank you to Dan Carter for stopping by with this gift from himself and the team at Freedom Toyota. Thank you to the team at the Amazon RDG1 Warehouse who absolutely blew us away with the results of their donation drive for our shelter! Thank you to Jasten and his team at Freedom Toyota for contributing $1,500 to our shelter. Thanks to the team at Brentwood Industries for donating an assortment of treats, food and toys for our shelter dogs! They have quite the team of animal lovers. Thank you to Sage for raising $275 for ARL through her Art for Animals fundraiser! Combining her love for artwork and animals, Sage created her own page on Facebook called "Art for Animals by Sage", where she sells original canvas paintings to raise proceeds for our shelter. She even donated an original canvas painting to us! Thank you to Ron and Kerin DeCarlo and Tim Gaston for decking out their Sinking Spring home with more than 30,000 lights for people to drive by or walk through as they collect donations for the animals at the ARL. This year, despite the pandemic, they not only increased the size of their wondrous and festive holiday lights display, but they also nearly DOUBLED what they normally raise and presented a check to the ARL last night for $3,422! A huge thank you to them and everyone else who visited "Lights on Elwyn" to donate to us this holiday season! Thank you to the Walmart Supercenter in Bechtelsville for their donations to the animals right before the holidays! Thank you to Tania (left) and her co-workers at the Reading Hospital for collecting donations for the animals! Thanks to Baja Beach Tanning Club - Berks for their van full of donations during their Tail Waggin' Tans promotion. Thanks to Friedens United Church of Christ, Oley, for their thoughtful holiday donation for shelter pets in need! Thanks to the Red Hat Roadrunners for their annual holiday donation Thank you to Sharon Sensenig of Henry Schein, Inc. and Kristi Gage of Gage Personnel. As part of their 35th anniversary, Gage Personnel asked how Gage had helped people grow in their career and which charity they'd like to support. Sharon not only chose us, but she also donated her portion of the prize to us, too! Thank you to both of them! Thank you to Jenavieve Samuels who requested donations for the ARL instead of birthday gifts this year! Thank you to Troop 1524 Girl Scouts Adrianna, Anna and Kaitlyn who created dog and cat toys and collected donations (KMR, cat and dog food, litter, laundry supplies) for our animals during quarantine! Thank you to Steve Moyer Subaru for their generous grant during their Subaru Loves Pets campaign! Thank you to the Skyline Drive Corvette Club for their ongoing support of the ARL through their Vettes Crusin' for Pets campaign! Thank you to Kim and her staff at Arby's for collecting all of these donations for the animals at the ARL! Thank you to Olivia! She would like to adopt a pet, so, to prove her dedication and determination, she asked for presents for animals instead of herself for her 10th birthday.
